Transporting you to a bygone era
Come with us on a journey and relive the Golden years of Safari.

Cha Cha Metsi Okavango Delta boasts a diversity of habitats in our area. It has a mixture of wetland, mophane woodland, and open acacia savanna. The safari camp beams a diversity of game, including an abundance of giraffes, elephants, zebras, buffalo, hippo, and impalas, which are typical of the game drives you’ll experience at Cha Cha Metsi.
Enjoy a game drive to Lion Island, which is marked by huge stands of leadwood, jackalberry, and acacia trees, to hopefully spot some of our resident predators here in the Delta.
The camp can be booked out completely for a private stay, so feel free to enquire. We also offer private game drives on request at an additional rate.
Our rooms boast exceptional views of the Okavango Delta, with a permanent water channel all year round.

Our History
A little bit about ChaCha
For thirty years, the Niven family has been exploring the wonderful gems that the Okavango Delta and Botswana have to offer. For us, it was logical to try and recreate something enduring. Clyde, with the pioneering spirit of Sir Percy Fitzpatrick, his great-grandfather, had a clear vision of what he wanted to create. He set out to encapsulate an enduring, symbiotic relationship with nature and people. Cha Cha Metsi is here for families and explorers alike to relive a safari that transports you back in time to a forgotten bygone era of exceptional experiences.

We offer two family rooms. Our tented rooms offer a spacious bedroom with a full bathroom with bath and shower and an annex with 2 beds for children. We take children of any age which offers families to travel and experience this jewel together. The breathtaking views of the Okavango can be seen from all our rooms, creating a sense of harmony between land and water.
Cha Cha Metsi
Our Living Space
Enjoy our living space, which is peppered with family heirlooms on the water’s edge of the Okavango Delta. Here you can find yourself sitting back, soaking in the scenery. Gazing out over a wetland see all that Cha Cha Metsi has to offer. African Jacanas sing, pigmy geese flap across the water and little bee-eaters continually come and go. Hippos move about in the back-round and regular visitors of elephants, kudu, bushbuck and Giraffe can be seen over the wetland infront of Cha Cha Metsi. To showcase Africa’s uniqueness, we journey through local dishes with our star chef Nketsang: We have developed a menu inspired by some African cuisine called origins. Proudly we celebrate and showcase Botswana beef yet many of our dishes are inspired by African Vegetarian dishes.

Horse Safaris
We offer walks with an experienced guide for a close up and intimate look at the Delta and horseback safaris for the experienced riders. We offer a wide range of experienced horses, fit for a seasoned rider.

Mokoro trips
Mokoros on our beautiful Delta water ways with some of our local community guiding as pollers is a must. Our pollers will take you on a magic trip through the lilies and water beds.
Game Drives
Enjoy our varied drives alongside the channels and waterways. We operate in a game rich area with life abundant in all shapes and colours. The landscape, reminiscent of prehistory, will take you on a journey spotting some of our resident predators.
